Established in early 2025, DG Badminton is the newest premier badminton academy located at GOR Sporthill, Batam City. With international-standard courts and a team of highly experienced coaches, the academy is committed to nurturing and empowering Indonesia’s next generation of elite badminton athletes.
DG Badminton is dedicated to shaping the future of Indonesian badminton by providing world-class, professional training programs that empower athletes to achieve excellence on the global stage.

Coach
Sigit Pamungkas is recognized as one of the most prominent figures in Indonesian badminton. Born in Jakarta and educated at SMA Negeri Ragunan, a specialized school for athletes, he was first known as a national player before dedicating his career to coaching. His unwavering commitment to developing athletes has yielded remarkable results, most notably with the legendary men’s doubles pair Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan. Under his guidance, the duo brought glory to Indonesia by capturing the World Championship title in 2007 and later achieving the pinnacle of success with a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games. Sigit’s journey not only reflects his excellence as a coach but also reaffirms his vital role in shaping a new generation of world-class champions for Indonesian badminton.
